SWAGGERTY, G. MICHAEL (MIKE) — age 61, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Knoxville, passed away 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, and creator/producer of the radio program "All Mixed Up" at WCBE in Columbus. He was also a local DJ in Knoxville and Columbus. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Thelma Turner, James and Obra Bell Swaggerty. Survived by parents, James and Lois (Turner) Swaggerty; sisters, Patricia (Rusty) Cabage, and Tina Collins; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Jerry) Owens, Travis (Amanda) Cabage, James (Jay) Collins, and Emily Anne Collins; great-nieces and great-nephew, Samantha, Cody and Baby Girl all of Knoxville, Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of close friends in Columbus, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Ball Camp Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. Jack Parrott, Reverend Tina Collins, and Dr. Ed Sunday-Winters officiating. A private interment at Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations for final expenses may be made at Home Federal bank payable to Patricia Cabage.
