  • Dad loved music and enjoyed playing piano. Even at age 90 he could still play. It was a big part of his life and ours.
  • Dad was always very proud that he dedicated 18 years of his life as un Hermano De La Salle (A Brother in the Catholic Church) before marrying mom. He taught music, religious classes and lead a large boy's choir in Cuba.
  • One of the last pictures we took of our parents together before mom became ill with Alzheimer's disease.

Gabriel is survived by his sons, Edward, Gabriel, James and daughter Rosemary; his son-in-law Douglas and two daughters-in-law Lorna and Cindy; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Michelle, Sean, Ryan, Valerie and Adam; and his brothers Rodolfo, Nestor and sister Ana Maria.

He peacefully slipped from this life to the next in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
