Ms. Gail Evans Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA The funeral service for Ms. Gail Evans, 52, of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday September 7, 2012 at First Assembly of God at North Hodge. Pastor Gene Cumpton will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, Kentucky. Ms. Evans was born on November 5, 1959, in Ashland, Kentucky, and went home to be with her Lord on September 4, 2012, in her Ruston home after a lengthy illness. Ms. Evans is survived by her loving daughter, Dr. Katie Evans; her son-in-law, Dr. Davis Harbour; her parents, John and Patricia Evans; her brother, John William Evans; her sister-in-law, Rebecca Burton; and her nephew, Charles Shaffer. She was preceded in death by her husband; Lester Castle. The family also wishes to make a special acknowledgement of Mr. William Lee, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, who has been a wonderful and dear friend to their entire family down through the years. Ms. Evans was a member of the First Assembly of God at North Hodge and a registered nurse. She was a graduate of the University of Rio Grande in Ohio. She worked as a nurse nearly 15 years in Kentucky, Ohio, and Louisiana. In her spare time, she enjoyed yard work, home improvement projects, sewing, and her dogs. The family would like to acknowledge the love and compassionate care that Ms. Evans received from the nurses and staff of Professional Hospice Care. Visitation will be at First Assembly of God, at North Hodge from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
