Gail F. Patinos (nee Keller), age 46, beloved wife of Luis (Lucho) for 19 wonderful years; loving mother of Alexis, Aaron and Andrew; devoted daughter of Charlotte and the late Lawrence Keller; dear sister of Kathleen (Dan) Davis, Lynn (Andrew)Stefik, Linda Keller and Maureen (Terry) Kmiec; fond daughter-in-law of Nicholas and Gloria Patinos; dear sister-in-law of Margo and Tom (Luz Elena) Patinos, Maria (the late Mark) Lodenkamp and Anastasia (Brian) Winley and ;fond aunt of 7 nieces and 7 nephews, and close friend to many, many people.
Gail graduated from Northern Illinois University in December 1984, Bachelors of Science degree in nursing (BSN). Gail worked for several top ranked Illinois hospitals including Advocate Healthcare Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Healthcare Lutheran General Hospital, University of Chicago Hospitals and Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital. During her career in healthcare, she received her Masters in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University in 2008 and advanced into several key management positions, including Revenue Cycle Director in the finance department at Advocate Healthcare Good Samaritan Hospital.
Gail rapidly advanced and played an instrumental role in the healthcare profession. She had a passion for dogs and was an avid promoter of the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club(NSDTRC). She was deeply committed to the cause of toller retriever dogs, dog breeding, dog showing, dog people, and the Toller canine fraternity. Gail actively participated in Toller Retriever training and competitions. She received several CERF Certifications and won many awards for the NSDTRC (USA) National Specialty Obedience and "Hunting Retriever" Class competitions for her dogs, Ari and Ace. We have lost someone truly special in our world who now rests with the angels. Farewell, until we meet again.
Visitation Monday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 8:00 p.m., at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. (1 blk. E of Naperville Rd.) Wheaton. Visitation Tuesday 12noon until time of funeral service 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Orthodox Christian Church, 412 Crescent St., Wheaton. Interment Wheaton Cemetery.
