Gale D. Abrams

Gale D. Abrams of Monmouth, Oregon passed away May 25, 2009 at the age of 81.
Gale was born August 21, 1927 in Eugene, Oregon. Graduated from Rainer High School in 1945, after graduating he enlisted in the United States Navy and was later honorably discharged. Gale attended Oregon State University receiving a bachelor's degree in forestry. He worked for Boise Cascade retiring at the end of December 1989. He was a member of the Scottish rite, Mason's and active with Boy Scouts. He enjoyed wood carving especially making Santa Clauses and also enjoyed painting.
Survivors include his wife Betty Abrams (married in 1953), daughter Gale (Dennis) Hemmen of Hammond, Oregon and Joel(Charmaine) Abrams of Corvallis, Oregon, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grand child. Gale is preceded in death by his son Randy Abrams in 1997.
Contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospital in care of Farnstrom Mortuary 410 Monmouth St. Independence, Oregon 97351 who is entrusted to cremation arrangements.
