Funeral services for Gardina Margaret Pargac, 94, of Bryan, are set for 10:00 a.m., August 8, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell, with Father Brion Zarsky officiating. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell, under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2011, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Mrs. Pargac passed away on August 4, 2011 in Bryan, Texas. Gardina was born April 13, 1917 to Joseph F. Wondrash and Gardina Margaret (Struwe) Wondrash in Caldwell, Texas. She married Leon J. Pargac, Sr. on April 24, 1939 in Caldwell. Gardina was a member of St. Mary's Alter Society, president of the PTA, a band booster for many years, and a member of the Women's Garden Club and the Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law; Leon Pargac, Jr. of Frisco, Thomas and Brenda Pargac of Houston, daughters and sons-in-law; Amelia and Glen Wearden, Sr. of Caldwell, Pat and Mike Wiederhold of Bryan, Margaret and Tim Tietjen of Bryan, sister-in-law; Willie Mae Wondrash of Bellville, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Cecil and Stanley Wondrash, daughter-in-law; Beverlee Pargac, three grandchildren; Lisa Wiederhold, Timmy Tietjen, and Joseph Wearden. The family requests memorials be made to St. Mary's Altar Society, 500 OSR, Caldwell, Texas 77836, St. Joseph's Catholic School, 600 S. Coulter, Bryan, Texas 77803 or Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W. 26th St., Bryan, Texas 77803. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Lampstand Health & Rehab facility of Bryan for their dedication and care of Gardina during her stay there.
