Gary A. Lacken, 69, of Greeley, Pennsylvania, died Monday, July 8, 2013, after a short illness, at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, New Jersey. Born in Newton, Mr. Lacken resided in Milford, Pennsylvania before moving to Greeley, Pennsylvania. He was an award winning football player and graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1962. He then attended East Stroudsburg University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree. After college, he taught history. A Real Estate Broker for 45 years, Mr. Lacken was licensed in three states, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, and was the owner of Gary Lacken Real Estate - Century 21, in Milford, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Pike/Wayne County Association of Realtors. Mr. Lacken loved taking day trips, exploring new places and meeting new people. He enjoyed experimenting with canning foods. Mr. Lacken was a deeply religious person and was devoted to helping people. The son of the late Willard G. Lacken, Sr., Mr. Lacken is survived by his wife, Rhonda, of Greeley; his mother, Helen Lacken of Newton; daughter, Katherine Lacken of Abington, Pennsylvania; brother, Willard G. Lacken, Jr and his wife, Vivienne, of Blairstown; his beloved cat Rosey; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, New Jersey.
