Gary Dixon Miller, age 76, passed away January 21, 2012. Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.
Gary was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 31, 1935 to Kendall and Lowrene Miller. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a mechanical engineering degree and was a life member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served in the United States Air Force as a pilot. Gary was also a member of Mensa. He worked for Mobil Oil and then formed his own independent company, Sunflower Associates.
Gary was an avid reader, lifelong learner and reluctant world traveler. A man in full.
Gary is predeceased by his first wife, Janice Ijams Miller. He leaves his wife Nancy of the home; daughters Jane (Brad) Rowe and Anne Miller (Mark Hamberg); step-sons Jeff (Angie) Miller and Chris (Rachel) Miller; grandchildren Jackson and Megan Rowe, Shane Hamberg, David and Andrew Miller, Caroline, Kate and Chloe Miller.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208 or to a charity of choice.
