Gary Grant Thobaben, 65, Beloved husband of Carol (Mraz) Thobaben, dearest father of Gary Charles Thobaben, Joseph Thobaben and Barbara Huffstetler; grandfather of five; brother of Kermit (Marshelle) Thobaben; uncle cousin and nephew of many. Gary was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, president of the Eastlake Area Kiwanis, member of the American Legion Post 678 Willowick/Eastlake, past president of the Eastlake Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Eastlake Financial Oversight Committee. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and was involved in various local political activities. He was very patriotic. Mr. Thobaben retired in June 2001 from Euclid Hitachi Heavy Equipment Inc. after 20 years as IT Director. The family suggests contributions in Gary's memory to the Eastlake Area Kiwanis Food Pantry, P.O. Box 7225, Eastlake, OH 44097.
