Gary Lunn, our loving son and brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend, died on October 3, 2006.

Services will be held at 2 PM Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Scott Frederickson officiating.  Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM Sunday at Parkway Funeral Service where a prayer service will be held at 7 PM.

Gary was born on July 7, 1956 in Bismarck, the son of Gerry and Frankie (Gillen) Lunn.  He attended Bismarck schools and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1974.  Following one year at Bismarck State College, Gary enlisted in the United States Army and served as a military police officer from 1975-1978.  Gary married Sylvia Sturn in August of 1976.  After Gary's service in the military, he returned to Bismarck and worked in his family's construction business for many years and most recently worked at Capital City Construction as a project manager.  Gary will be remembered for his bright smile, infectious laugh and his generous loving spirit.  He loved spending time at the lake and enjoyed golfing.

If it weren't for Gary, his brothers and sister wouldn?t know anything about good music.  He was incredibly funny and loved to laugh.  Gary was so gentle and kind.  Our sorrow is deep and he will be greatly missed forever.

Gary is survived by his mom and dad, Frankie and Gerry Lunn; his brother, RJ and wife, Jayne and their daughter, Sophia; his brother, Mike and wife, Sue and their son, Brendan; and his sister, Kari and husband, Mike, and their sons, Noah and Jacob; his aunts and uncles, Mick and Donna Gillen, Bill Gillen, Bev Lunn, Joann Lunn, and Fritz and Joan Lunn; his former wife and friend, Sylvia Burgess; numerous cousins who were like brothers and sisters; and his girlfriend, Shawn Posey.
