Gary Thomas Jones, 83, of 127 Jones Circle, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Edward and Essie Simmons Jones.

Mr. Jones was the Owner of Jones Body Shop. He was a member of Griffin Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran.

Surviving is his wife of the home, Nancy Bates Jones; two daughters, Terri Breazeale (Lynn) of Pickens and Renee Golden (Richey) of Sunset; a son, Lynn Jones of Pickens; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Byers, Earline Evett and Virgle Byers all of Pickens; and a brother, James Jones of Pickens.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.

The family will be at the home.
