Eugene Elmer "Gene" Kovacs, age 83, of Brook Park, Ohio, beloved husband of 59 years of Frances B. "Fran" (nee Holowaty); loving father of Linda Schwarz (Edward) of North Royalton, Ohio, Cindy Dobrovic (Tom) of South Lyon, Michigan, and Christopher Kovacs (Manuel) of Tempe, Arizona; dear grandfather of Rochelle Gallagher (Sean), Steve Schwarz (Samantha), Jessica Miceli (Craig), Michael Dobrovic, and great-grandfather of Brianna and Brandan Gallagher and Nicolas Miceli; dear brother of Irene Koester (Ed, deceased) and Julius Kovacs (Esther), and the late Elmer Kovacs (Shirley, surviving) and the late Robert Kovacs; dear uncle of many. Mr. Kovacs was a proud United States Navy veteran of World War II, was a retired sales engineer from the Sterling Die Co. and the National Thread Rolling Co. in Cleveland, and was a faithful member of the American Legion Post 610 in Brook Park. He passed away suddenly on Friday, December 30, 2011. The family will receive friends at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 5:30 P.M. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 3. Cremation by Busch Crematory. Private entombment at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
