Genevieve "Gen". Wagner, age 82, of Guckeen, died Friday, February 24, 2012, at Roxanne House at Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, with Rev. Dr. Mark Wilms, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th Street in Blue Earth, and one hour prior to services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.pattonfh.com Gen was born April 2, 1929, in Blue Earth, the daughter of Cecil and Dena (Bonk) Howard.. Gen attended Blue Earth High School where she graduated in 1947 with academic honors. She married Wayne Wagner on October 3, 1948 at the First Baptist Church in Blue Earth. After their marriage they moved to the Wagner Family Farm near Guckeen where they resided for over 60 years. Gen was an intrigal part of the family auction business. She established the United Clerking Company which partnered with Wagner Company Auctioneers. Wayne passed away on October 15, 2006. Gen was an active member in her church and community. She enjoyed leading bible study for her circle group and lending a hand in many church and community functions. . Gen was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed. Genevieve is survived by her sons: John Wagner of Guckeen, Bob (Chris) Wagner of Zumbrota, Jim (Carla) Wagner of Blue Earth, Lee (Lisa) Wagner of Minneapolis, her sisters: Jackie Grimes of Portland, Oregon, Kathy Nowak of Elmore, Deanna (Paul) Voth of Windom, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Wayne, three brothers and four sisters. Memorials donations are preferred to the Memory Care Unit and Goldfinch Estates.
