George Grenier, 72, of Port Saint Lucie, FL passed away on December 22, 2011. He was born in New York, NY. Mr. Grenier had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 17 years, coming from Carmel, NY. He had retired as the Sheriff of Putnam County, New York. Mr. Grenier was a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knight of Columbus, a member of the International Police Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the Fraternal Order of Elks.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia Montgomery Grenier of Port Saint Lucie; son, George A. Grenier, III of Katonah, NY; son, Gary Grenier of Port Saint Lucie, FL; as well as three grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 27, 2011 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Forest Hills Byrd Young & Prill Chapel in Port Saint Lucie. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2011 at 9:30AM at the St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie.
