George kept our old car running for 4 years.  He was always helpful.  We will be praying for his family.

We must take leave of an outstanding man, and happy memories cannot ease the grief which we, the living, feel at the death of a loved one.

Still, these memories are what makes a person immortal. Everything George did and the influence he had on those who knew him - all that will live on even though he is gone.

I am not only mourning the loss of a Rotarian Fellow, but also that of a friend who had

I am not only mourning the loss of a Rotarian Fellow, but also that of a friend who had a great passion for European cars. This was our favorite subject when we shared a table at the Rotary Club. I can remember you and him at one of our Christmas Parties - happy memories that will never go away.

I am thankful that I could accompany George for just a short time on his way through Life. My thoughts are with You and your Family.

I wish God's mercy and love on George's family and friends.  He was a great student who was always smiling and happy and was always very friendly and caring.  I will miss that and I will miss him. May God bless and keep you.

George was one of the nicest, kindest, most generous persons I had the great fortune of getting to know at an early age.  He always had a genuine interest in the lives of those around him and honestly cared about what and how they were doing.



Way back in our childhood George and I were on the same baseball team at the Helenic Center.  No matter how we did, win or lose, catch the ball or let it drop, George alway

George was one of the nicest, kindest, most generous persons I had the great fortune of getting to know at an early age.  He always had a genuine interest in the lives of those around him and honestly cared about what and how they were doing.



Way back in our childhood George and I were on the same baseball team at the Helenic Center.  No matter how we did, win or lose, catch the ball or let it drop, George alway had positive things to say and was upbeat.  His smile was contageous and genuine, it made a difference even back then.  The same attitude carried him through highschool where he built lifelong friends.  I know lots of people who are saddened by this loss but are so much richer for the way George affected their lives.



Later in life, I would only see George from time to time at the church or at the Festival but that same smiling, genuine person would greet me with that same enthusiastic interest to know how things were going, and where I had been and how was my family.  Never selfish, never inward, always showed a positive exterior.



To George's loving wife and children, I ache at your loss.  Nothing will replace your husband, your father... but know this.  He touched so many lives in a great and positive way during his.  He had a profoundly positive effect on those around him, as I am sure you know, but even at an early age.  As a young kid on the baseball field at the Helenic Center.... or on "the big rock" outside the church after Sunday School.... or at the pool at the Helenic Center... as an young adult in the halls of BHS.  All through his life he has been the same.



Take comfort, if you can, in the knowledge that your husband, your father, is remembered by so many and so many are with you in your time of need.  So many share your profound loss.... but so many are better for having known him.  He is surely with god now.  Please take some small comfort in that.



Dennis, Mrs Tyrones, I am sorry for your loss as well and I hope my thoughts and ramblings above also offer you some comfort as you think about those days gone by.  At the moment, I can feel them like they were only yesterday.
