George Davis, 88 of Morristown passed away Thursday July 8th at Lyons Veterans Hospital, Lyons, NJ. Born in Morristown, NJ. on Wednesday, January 11, 1922, he was the son of the late John and Lena (Bell) Davis. He worked as a Marriage and Family Counselor for 46 years at Family and Childrens Services in Elizabeth, NJ. and at Youth and Family Counseling in Westfield, NJ. for 40 years. He was the Husband of Venus Davis. George was a member of Calvary Baptist Church Morristown, NJ. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII from 1942 to 1945. In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters, Janet Ximines of Morristown, Paulette Forbes of Orange, Rosalee Reid of Plainfield, Lisa Vannoy of Parsippany; one son Paul Forbes of Bristol, UK., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
