Mr. George E. “Bud’ Woodbury, 84 years of Grandview Ave Revere died Sunday in his home after a long illness. He is the husband of the late Elizabeth R. “Betty” (O’Malley) Woodbury.

He was born and raised in Lynn, the son of the late George W and Jessie (Brewer) Woodbury. He attended Lynn Schools .He lived in Lynn many years. He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Saugus. He was past president and treasurer of St. Mary’s Plaza Tenants Association. He was a Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Arthur F. DeFranzo Post 2346 VFW in Saugus and a member of the Franco American Veterans Post in Lynn.

He was security coordinator for General Electric Co in Wilmington for 23 years retiring in 1980.

He is the father of Donald Woodbury of Danvers, Michael Woodbury of Kensington NH, Joan Beaulieu of Lynn and Karen “Bunnie” Castaldo of Revere and the late David S. Woodbury. He is the Brother of Walter Woodbury of Florida, Alfred Woodbury of Alabama, Barbara Hayden of California, Edith Multanen of Lynn, Dawn Amico of Lynn Catherine Powell of Lynn and the late Irene O’Leary, Willard, Robert and Donald Woodbury. He also leaves 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM from the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home 426 Broadway (Rte 129) Lynn followed by a funeral mass in St. Margaret’s Church, Saugus at 11:30 AM Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn Relatives and friends are respectfully invited Visiting Hours Tuesday 3 to 7 PM Donations may be made to Hospice Care, Inc 41 Montvale Ave, Stoneham, MA 02180.
