George F. Bott Sr. 87, a resident of Legacy Lodge Nursing Center, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008, in Russellville, Arkansas.
He was born in Alpena, Michigan to Andrew and Emilie Lemke Bott. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Fort Myers, Florida, United States Army veteran of World War II, an artist and a teacher. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marjorie Estelle Bott; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George F. Bott Jr. of Peralta, New Mexico and Dr. Andrew Charles and Dr. Manja Vaccher Bott of Brookline, Massachusetts; one daughter and son-in-law, Ellen Louise and William Parton, of Russellville; seven grandchildren; and three nephews.
The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
