George Garfield Williams, III, "Georgie" was born on April 23, 1958 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, son of Gloria C. Pierson Williams and George Garfield Williams, Jr. Educated in the Roselle, New Jersey Public School System, he attended Locust School and was a 1976 graduate of Abraham Clark High School where he played baseball. He had been employed as a maintenance worker at the Union County Courthouse in Elizabeth, New Jersey. "Georgie", as he was affectionately known, departed this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Father Hudson House in Elizabeth, New Jersey at the age of 53. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Vince Curtis. He leaves to cherish fond memories, a daughter, Yolanda Daniels and son, Rahsan Daniels both of Newark, NJ; his parents, Gloria and George Williams, Jr. of Roselle, NJ; 4 sisters, Beverly Williams Daves of Rahway, NJ, Karen L. Williams of Rahway, NJ; Pamela Faith (Samson) of Rahway, NJ and Tanya Curtis of Cranford, NJ; a brother, Derrick Williams of Roselle, NJ; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made in the name of George Williams, III to: Father Hudson House 111 DeHart Place, Elizabeth, NJ 07202 Attention: Jose Polanco.
