George was born in 1934 in the village of Kei Kwok in Zhongshan county, Guangdong, China. In 1956, he left China to join his brother in Hong Kong to start a farming business.
At age 26, George returned to China to marry, Sue Lynn Ko, and they resided in Hong Kong for the 13 years. Their union was blessed by the birth of their four children - Kirk, Kevin, Kelley, and Keri. The whole family arrived in Seattle, Washington in 1969. Shortly after, they were blessed by the birth of their fifth child, Craig. Th couple purchased a house on Beacon Hill in 1977, where he lived with his family for the next 32 years.
George balanced his days with work and family life. In his earlier years, he took on various jobs in the restaurant, noodle manufacturing, and bakery business. He retired in 1996. In his free time, he enjoyed reading history books, newspapers, watching Chinese programs and sports. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandkids.
George was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. he was a thoughful, giving and caring person and always put his family first. He was eager and willing to help others. His family loved him more than words can say. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Washelli Chapel in Seattle. Burial in Washelli Cemetery, Seattle, WA
