George Melton

Our loving dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa, went home November 14, 2010 and is reunited with his best friend and wife Pat Melton. Born May 16, 1925 to George and Florence Voiles Melton in Seminole, Oklahoma, George married Pat Smethurst on March 17, 1979 in Ely. He lived his life for his family. We will always be grateful for the blessings he brought to each of our lives. George enjoyed fishing, camping, family vacations, and watching a good Jazz game. He loved his family and supporting his grandchildren in all of their endeavors. George is survived by his children, Wendy (Jay) Oviatt, Tony (Teresa) Thompson and Stephanie (Bert) Ainslie; eight wonderful grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday November 20, 2010 at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive, with a viewing on Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive.
