George Pecsek, 89, passed away June 24, 2011, at his residence in Gibbs Woods, NC. George was born on December 7, 1921 in Hewitt, WV to the late Frank and Theresa Pecsek. George served his country in the Army during World War II and had retired from Ford Motor Corporation after over thirty years of employment. He is survived by his wife, Gladys L. Pecsek; sons, George L. Pecsek and wife Gloria of Perry Hall, MD, and William L. Pecsek and wife Signe of Chesapeake, VA; four grandchildren, Eric Pecsek, Jason Pecsek, M. Adam Pecsek, and Kendall Parris; great-grandchildren, Anthony Bannan and Ardin Parris. At his request, his body will be cremated and service will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Chesapeake Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1200 Centerville Tnpke N., Chesapeake, VA 23320. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel is handling arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
