Mr. George Robert Dowell, (Bob), 58, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away March 16, 2011. Bob was born in Chillicothe, Missouri and moved with his family to a farm in Liberty, Missouri at a young age. He was an Auto Body Repairman and Mechanic. He also enjoyed dirt track racing, spending much time at the Riverside Stadium. Gary Shipley’s car #611, was his favorite. Bob was a member of the Sheffield Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy James & Lena Mae Bethel Dowell. Survivors include his brother, James Dowell and sister, Joyce Michael, both of Avondale, Missouri; one nephew, five nieces, and many great nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the family at the memorial services to help defray funeral expenses.
