Dr. George S. Lassiter, 76, died peacefully on May 3, 2011. Born in Madison, NJ on July 4, 1934, he remained there as a long-time resident. A graduate of Madison High, Hobart College and Hahneman Medical Schools, he went on to practice medicine in Morristown for 36 years and worked at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He served in the US Navy and was Chief of Medicine at All Souls Hospital. He will be remembered as a passionate skier, a compassionate doctor, a skilled athlete, a loyal friend, a loving family member, a gifted artist and someone who genuinely enjoyed life.
