George I. Welsh, 46, passed away, Friday, June 26, 2009 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Columbus, OH, he was a machinist with B & J Specialties. He was a member of Crosspointe Community Church and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Welsh of Fort Wayne; father, Donald E. Welsh of Churubusco; daughters, Audree (Chad) Ousley of Huntington, and Diana Welsh of Columbia City; step-sons, Matthew Weingartner, and Johnathan Weingartner both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Brian Welsh of Greenwood, and Ron Welsh of Mooresville, NC; brothers-in-law, Kevin Yoder, and Todd Yoder both of Leo; parents-in-law, Louis and Maggie Yoder of Fort Wayne. George was preceded in death by his mother, Lauradel Welsh. Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Rev. Chris Wild officiating. Calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Riverview, Cemetery, Churubusco. Memorials may be made to the Crosspointe Community Church.
