George I. Welsh, 46, passed away, Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Columbus, OH, he was a machinist with B & J Specialties. He was a member of Crosspointe Community Church and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Welsh of Fort Wayne; father, Donald E. Welsh of Churubusco; daughters, Audill (Chad) Ousley of Huntington, and Diana Welsh of Columbia City; step-sons, Matthew Weingartner, and Johnathan Weingartner both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Brian Welsh of Greenwood, and Ron Welsh of Mooresville, NC; brothers-in-law, Kevin Yoder of Leo, and Todd Yoder; parents-in-law, Lovis and Maggie Yoder of Fort Wayne. George was preceded in death by his mother, Lauradel Welsh. Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Rev. Chris Wild officiating. Calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Riverview, Cemetery, Churubusco. Memorials may be made to the Crosspointe Community Church. Our hearts are broken for you Jeanette. May you treasure the memories of your loving life with George as he truly was a gift from God. We are so, so sorry for your loss. We love you dearly and will continue to pray for God to fill your cup of life and love to overflowing. You are precious to us and we are here for you.
