Georgene B. Doyle, 91, of Port St. Lucie, passed away, Tuesday, June 7, 201 at St. Lucie Medical Center.
Mrs. Doyle was born in Akron, Ohio. She had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past twenty four years coming from Riviera Beach, FL.
Prior to retirement, she worked for 20 years as a Quality Control Inspector for RCA Corporation in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Riviera Beach, FL, and also a member of the National Society of The Daughters of The American Revolution, St. Lucie River Chapter since 1997.
She enjoyed music and art. She was an accomplished pianist and painted in oils watercolors and pastels specializing in portraits. Among other hobbies of hers was Genealogy research and she was an excellent swimmer.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Doyle and one daughter, Sharon Doyle.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Doyle of Royal Palm Beach, FL; two daughters, Marianne Prestage of Port St. Lucie, FL; Joan Colleen Humulock of Mechanicsville, MD; one sister, Marianne Lowe of Malibu, CA; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation: Friends may call from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, June 10, 2011 at Forest Hills-Byrd, Young & Prill Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. Burial will follow at Royal Palm memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, FL.
