Mrs. Georgia D. Cunningham, 86, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday February 4, 2011 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte. She was born January 2, 1925 in Linton, Indiana, the daughter of Earl Hoops and Lula (Miller) Hoops. Georgia was a homemaker. She loved playing bingo and was very devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. On August 11, 1941, in Bloomfield, IN, she married Bruce Cunningham who preceded in death November 29, 1983. She is survived by her 4 sons - Bruce Cunningham of La Porte, Randy (Alice) Cunningham of La Porte, Carl (Connie) Cunningham of Rolling Prairie, Gayle Cunningham of La Porte; daughter - Marsha Davis of La Porte; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother - Gilbert Hoops of La Porte; 2 sisters - Wilma Stephens of Linton, IN and Ada King of Hamlet. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, a granddaughter, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 08, 2011 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Wednesday, February 09, 2011 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday February 9, 2011 at 1:30 PM with officiating. Interment will follow at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Haverstock Funeral Home.
