Vandermeir, Gerald George, 81, of Pinellas Park, FL, went home to heaven on August 18, 2011. He was an avid race enthusiast. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56years, Joyce. He is survived by his children Janet (Ron), Kathy (Jim), George (Betty), Ken, Sue (Jeff); 17 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; sisters and brothers; and his beloved dog Max. The wake will be held at the funeral home from 3-6pm on Sunday the 21st. The service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday the 22nd at 10am with the committal service to follow.
