Gerald P. Kline, 62, a longtime resident of Tijeras, NM, went to be with the lord on Sunday, January 22, 2012. Gerald was born in McNary, AZ on October 15, 1949, the middle child of Sosteno and Fela (Padilla) Kline. He was a graduate of Del Norte High School and entered the New Mexico Air National Guard where he retired as a Master Sargent. After retirement, he worked at the University of New Mexico for 6 years. He was a single dad until meeting his soul mate Nancy, of 25 years.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Nancy of Tijeras; parents, Sosteno and Fela of Albuquerque, NM; children, Anthony and wife, Vanessa of Albuquerque, NM; Christopher and his daughter, Rachel of Corrales, NM; the child of his heart, Marissa; brother, Michael of Albuquerque, NM; adopted nephew, Mason Knight; his lifelong buddies, Gil Jacquez, Jake Aragon, and the Blue Lite Force. He is also survived by six grandkids, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and by Nancy's family-all of whom miss him terribly. Gerald was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, Sosteno, Jr., and nephew, Marc Kline.
Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 26, 2012 starting at 9:30 a.m., with Mass to be celebrated immediately following at 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave Ne, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Interment will take place on Friday, January 27, 2012 promptly at 8:45 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe NM.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, to obtain adequate preventative medical care. Gerald would not want anyone to suffer and to live life to its fullest.
