Her Christian Walk
Geraldine (Gerri) Flowers was a grateful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ; she embraced the Word of God wholeheartedly. Her heart was set to do the will of God and to advance His Kingdom.
The Early Years
Geraldine was born on June 14th, 1939 in Caruthersville, MO. to Charlie and Edna Green. She was the seventh child of eleven children; nine brothers and one sister.
Geraldine was educated in the Missouri public school system where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.
Family
Geraldine relocated to the Chicago area in her early 20's. It was here she met and married Mr. Booker Flowers (who preceded her in death. To this union four beautiful children were born; Eric, Keith, Cynthia and Marsha.
Her Accomplishments
After the death of her husband, she strived to complete her education, work full-time as well as raise her four children. Geraldine's tenacity caused her to achieve her goal and receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She continued her quest for knowledge in Social Work, Biblical Studies and Drug and Alcohol Studies.
In 1980, Geraldine moved to Oxnard, California and became dedicated to the ministry at True Light Assembly, under the leadership of the late Pastor Sylvia Watson. She used her education and skills working for the Ventura County Prison System.
Geraldine's love of family caused her to follow her heart and return to Chicago, the place she called home, in 2008. She then began to fellowship with Little Mountain of Hope Ministry where she served faithfully under Pastor Slayton Palms, Jr.
