Geraldine Marie O'Bryant, 77, of South Bend, passed away on Monday, October 1st, 2013 at Cardinal Health and Rehabilitation in South Bend, following an illness. She was born in South Bend on January 12, 1936 to Elmer and Evelyn Schott who both preceded her in death. She married Clarence A. O'Bryant in Osceola on March 17, 1967. He died in 2005. She was retired from Ziker Cleaners as a Clothes Sorter after 21 years of service. She was a member of the VFW post 360 auxiliary in Mishawaka and also a member of Victory Chapel in Osceola. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, two great great nieces and a great great nephew. She is also survived by two sisters: Jane Hamilton of Mishawaka and Phyllis (Sidney) Matchette of League City, Texas. Also surviving is a brother: Dale Harter of South Bend. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Kinder and Mary Harter-Matchette along with two brothers: Donald Harter and Burrey Harter. Funeral services for Geraldine will be held on Monday, October 7th, 2013 at 12:00pm at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka where friends will be received for two hours prior to the services on Monday. Burial will follow the funeral services at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to Harbor Light Hospice.
