Gerard Yerke, 67, of West Scranton, died at Regional Hospital. Born November 11, 1943, son of Edward and Irene Dende Yerke, Gerard was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Sally Yerke of Old Forge; his nephew, Michael Yerke of Dallas; and his beloved second family, the residents of Cozy Comfort Living, Scranton. Blessing Services and committal prayers by Rev. Scott P. Sterowski were held on Tuesday in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery's Chapel. Interment followed. Arrangements were under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc.
