Geri A. Armetta, 53, of Muscatine, died Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Per her wishes, cremation will take place. Burial of ashes will be at a later date. Memorial Services will be Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., with a visitation from 10 until service time. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Geri was born March 7, 1958, in Moline, the daughter of Dominic and Natalie Biscontine Armetta.
She had been employed as a fork truck operator at Proctor and Gamble. She loved to fish, golf and play poker. Geri played semi-pro softball and practiced judo in her younger days. Geri also avidly hiked in the Arizona mountains where she prospected for gold with her German Shepherd, Sundance. She had a great interest in traveling, especially to Costa Rica.
