Gertrude Katherine Lockward Savage or "Trudy", was born on Nov. 15, 1912 in Bloomfield, NJ to Clarence M. Lockward and Gertrude Marguerite England Lockward. She married Edward J. Savage, Jr. who predeceased her in 1992. She is survived by two sons; Edward J. Savage of Santa Barbara, CA. and Stephen W. Savage of Covington, LA. She is also survived by three granddaughters Eliza, Annie and Sarah. Four great grandchildren have adored knowing her. They are Parker, Taylor, Kaylee and Charlotte.
Trudy has lived in Louisiana since 1956 and loved the wonderful people, stories, food, and culture she found here. Trudy was a charter member of Life Ins Auxiliary of New Orleans. She was a volunteer at Lakeview Medical Hospital and a member of H2O Image Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 120 S. New Hampshire, Covington, La. 70433 on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Inurnment at Metairie Cemetery. Please visit and sign the family guestbook at www.lakelawnmetairie.com.
