Gilbert Purdum, age 78, passed away March 22, 2012, at Liberty Retirement Community where he had resided the past four years. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Cary and Velma Purdum, and brother Vernon Purdum. He is survived by brother, Charles Purdum (Lillian), sister-in-law Audrey Purdum, three nephews and two nieces. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Special thanks to the staff of Liberty Retirement Community for the loving care provided Gil during his last years, and also a thank you to Hospice Care of Middletown for the excellent end of life care.
