Glen C. Anderson, 94, of Baraga, MI, living the past three years in Avon to be cared for by his son, passed away Wednesday (October 7, 2009). He was born in Oregon, IL on October 12, 1914 to the late Axel and Esther Peterson. After his father passed away, his mother married Charles Victor Anderson and they moved to Riverside, IL. In 1939, General Electric hired Glen and he relocated to Schenectady, NY. IN 1941, his department was transferred to Lynn, MA where he met and married his first wife, Sylvia (Ala) Anderson. They raised their family in Marblehead, MA. In 1952, Glen moved to Homewood, IL to work in Griffith, IN where he became the Vice President of sales for Smith Victor, a company that made photography lighting products; retiring from there in 1978. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in both Griffith, IN and Baraga, MI. After Sylvia passed away, Glen married Dorothy (Ingalls) Kidd who survives him. Besides his wife, Glen is survived by two sons, Larry Anderson and his wife Cynthia of Avon and Richard C. Anderson and his wife Iva of Athens, Greece; two grandchildren, Christopher Anderson and Laurel Carter; a great grandson, James Anderson; as well as Dorothy’s family.
