Glen Fielding Stevensen, just a few days short of 90 years old, passed away Monday February 7, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born February 11, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Olaf Theodore Stevensen and Thora Gunda Saether.

Glen was a compassionate, kind and loving son, brother, uncle and human being. For 15 to 20 years Glen and his sister Thelma gave compassionate and loving care to their mother and later their father. They never faltered in this responsibility. Glen opened his heart and home to a homeless person who became a friend and later a care giver. He steadfastly remembered his family and came to their aid as needed.

He is survived by his sister Helen, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Thelma Bernice, brothers Osmer Paul and Olaf Theodore (Ted) Stevensen, Jr.; baby sister’s Arlene June and Mable Gloriette, nephew Paul Stephen Cottam, and nieces Glenda Jeanette, Carol Joyce and Judith Anne Cottam.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Dr. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr.

Glen will be greatly missed by those who know and love him.
