Mr. Glen Smith, 84, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg and formerly of 25 N. Potomac St., Apt. 402, Waynesboro, died at 11:31 A.M., Friday, January 20, 2012, in the nursing home. He was born on December 10, 1927 in Fountaindale, PA. Mr. Smith served with the United States Army during World War II. He worked in construction and also ran a produce business for 20 years. Mr. Smith was a member of Wesley Chapel in Fountaindale and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Sacrey) Smith; one daughter Debbie Smith; his step-daughter, Natalie McLucas; two step-granddaughters; four step-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Mark Shover, officiating. Burial will follow in Antietam Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
