Glenda B. Detweiler, 74, a lifelong resident of Belvidere, NJ, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on September 18, 1936 in Belvidere, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Wilson Berton. Glenda was a 1954 graduate of Belvidere High School. She was a former leader of Girl Scouts, Cub Pack 141 and the Belvidere Midget fund raising committee. She is a proud member of the Red Hat Society of New Jersey, Good Will Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the Belvidere United Methodist Church. Glenda had worked in the Belvidere High School cafeteria as a cashier from 1972 to 1978. She was a loving wife and mother; she was a homemaker enjoying her children and grandchildren. Friends and family enjoyed her cooking and flower gardens in her cozy country decorated home. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, N. Dale (Skip) Detweiler; daughter, Michele Salvadore and her husband Tom of New Britain, PA and their children, Melissa and Ashley Berger; son, Dale Owen Detweiler of Belvidere, NJ and his children, Clairese Flavin of Camp Le Jeone, NC and Hunter Dale Detweiler of Saluda, NC; son, Donnie Detweiler and his wife Ginnie of Bangor, PA and their children, Katie, Kirsten, ShaneRoss, and Troy; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Anthony Flavin; a sister, Lola Tegtmeyer of Manahawkin, NJ. A sister, Shirley B. Williams died in 1995. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made to Belvidere United Methodist Church, 219 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ; Karen Ann Quinlan Health Care, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860 or Belvidere Ambulance Corps., P.O.
