Glenn W. Jones, 73, of Potterville passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte. Glenn was born on November 1, 1938 in Merritt, Michigan to Birt and Goldie (Rush) Jones. Glenn graduated from Merritt Community School. He lived in the Houghton Lake area for several years before moving to Flint to work for Anchor Trucking, hauling new cars to dealerships. Later he moved to Potterville and worked for Leaseway Trucking of Lansing before retiring. Glenn was a member of the Eagles, Moose, and the Old Truckers Club. Surviving Mr. Jones are his daughter, Lauri and husband Jim Hajec of Fenton, MI; son, Mark Jones of OH; two grandchildren, Brianne and Stephanie; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Burton; and sisters, Barbara, and Frieda. Funeral Services for Glenn W. Jones will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Rev. Bryan Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Roscommon Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel. Memorial contributions in memory of Glenn are asked to be directed to Eaton Community Palliative Care. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
