Gloria D. Asbell, 79, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Bethlehem Woods Rehab Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Gloria worked as a Executive Secretary with Lincoln Life Insurance 19 years, retiring in 1970. She was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne. After retirement she was an Avon Representative for 7 years. Surviving are her brother, Max E. (Carol) Van Camp of Fort Wayne; sisters, Janice L. (Robert) Osmundsen of Irving, TX and Phyliss Ann Beck of Fort Wayne; nieces Lisa (Michael) Burris, Theresa Beck, Kim (Joe) Santos all of Fort Wayne and Kathy (Chris) Skinner of Flower Mound, TX; nephews, Kurtis Beck of Florida, Barry (Kim) Van Camp of Fort Wayne, Jerry, Jack and Tim Schoenherr all of Fort Wayne. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Asbell; parents Russell J. Van Camp and Geneva L. Herendeen. Service is 10am Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Rev. Dr. Frederick Meuter officiating. Visitation is Thursday 4 to 8pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of Northeast IN.
