Gloria L. Ramsey, 83, passed away peacefully in her home on April 21, 2011. She retired from the City of Norfolk as an Eligibility Supervisor for the Department of Social Services in 1988. She enjoyed mystery novels, Crossword puzzles, and spending time with family. She is survived by her two daughters, Sallyanne Cole and husband Fred of Chesapeake, VA, and Dorothea Felder and husband Lanny of Florida; her son, Gerard Ramsey and wife Lisa of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren, Toni, Janet, Jonathan, Erin, Christopher, and Deborah; two great grandchildren, Ileana and Antonio; her nephew, Michael O'Connor and wife Susan of New Jersey; two grand nephews, Elias and Mychal Judge. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 27th at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with Chaplain Britton Joyner officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the donor's choice.
