Gordon Marsh Payne, Jr., 64, of the 700 block of Whisper Walk, Chesapeake, VA, passed away December 7, 2011, in Chesapeake, VA. A native of Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Jeanette and Gordon M. Payne, Sr. He retired from Volvo Rents as a Salesman. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and Cambodia. He is survived by his daughter, Whitney J. Payne of Chesapeake, VA; and a brother, Jerry M. Payne of St. Michaels, MD. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel with Rev. E. Clifton Whitlock officiating. The family will greet friends ½ hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
