Mr. Gordon Thomas Hand

Mr. Gordon Thomas Hand "Tom", 62, died May 17, 2009 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

Mr. Hand was born in Key West, FL and lived in Vero Beach for 32 years coming from Pahokee, FL.

He has owned and operated "The Woodcutter" a custom woodworking and carving business since 1971 and was a member of Indian River Wood Carvers.

Mr. Hand served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam War.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Hand of Vero Beach; son, Dan Hand of Vero Beach; daughter, Becky Wise of Boynton Beach, FL; brother, Sidney Hand of St. Simon Island, GA; sisters, Alice Dixon of Pahokee, FL, Iva Pittman of Moorehaven, FL, Rhonda Hand of St. Simon Island, GA, Clara Grammer, Joedna McDowell and Paula Steele all of Brunswick, GA and 2 grandchildren.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 3-5 pm on May 21, 2009 at King's Baptist Church, Vero Beach followed by a funeral service at 5:00 pm with Rev. Keith Hamilton officiating.
