Grace Ann Corry passed at home, surrounded by her loving family. In Heaven, she is finally able to be with her infant son, Mark, after 40 years, as well as join her mother Eugenia, father Tomas and older brother Johnny Echandi. She will always be cherished and admired as a beautiful, positive, generous, gracious mother by her own children and grandchildren as well as the numerous other people who saw her as their "second mom". Grace was born in Stockton and raised on her family's ranch in Farmington. She enjoyed teaching elementary school until her first child was born. She was a devoted wife and wonderful example of how to be a career homemaker, happily loving and guiding her family. Grace was active in John R Williams, Sierra Middle School and LHS PTA's for over 25 years. She also volunteered many years at Sundown Little League, San Joaquin Right To Life, and taught CCD for over 20 years at Presentation Church. She opened her home countless times for bridal and baby showers, as well as neighborhood baseball games. Her home was always a welcoming gathering place, full of people and love. Grace's inspiring example has left the world a better place. Her light will remain long after she is gone in the others she touched so deeply. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred, treasured children Michele Matthews (Steve), Jeanne Powell (Randy), Leslie Braden (Phil), David Corry, and Tom Corry (Lisa) and adoring grandchildren AJ, Amber, Mia, Makenna, and a sweet grandbaby on the way, sisters Rose Mondragon (Fred) and Pati Wooster (Steve), Brother Jim Echandi (Lisa) and numerous godchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday November 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of the Presentation, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Dr., Stockton, CA
There will visitation at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive Stockton, CA on Thursday November 17, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery
