Grace Ann "Gracie" O'Neal Stone

On January 27th, 2012, with her family by her side, "Gracie" walked through the gates of Heaven. Gracie lost a short courageous battle with cancer at the Bowers Hospice House. She was 62 years old and spent most of her life in Mullens.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Zola Smith O'Neal of Corinne, WV. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to so many people. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, working in her garden, making wood crafts, and watching her grandson play basketball.
She was a devoted Christian all of her life. She attended Welton Bible Chapel at Allen Junction and the 1st Church of God in Mullens. She believed with every breath she took that God's will would be done. She was never angry. She always said, "If it was her time to go God had a bigger plan for her." She will be so deeply missed by her family and friends.
Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank O'Neal and Zola Smith O'Neal of Corrine; brother Herb O'Neal of IL; sister Carol Ashley of Mullens; brother-in-law Douglas "Skip" Ashley of Mullens; sister-in law Doris O'Neal of Beckley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 38 years, Lewis Stone of Mullens; daughters Heather Cook and husband Greg of Shady Spring, Autumn Lusk and husband Ronald "George" Lusk, Jr of Itmann; 3 beautiful grandchildren that she cherished Hayleigh and Logan Cook, of Shady Spring and Raegan Lusk of Itmann; 3 brothers, Gene O'Neal of Beckley, Sam O'Neal and wife Jean of Barkers Ridge, David "Dave" O'Neal and wife Rose of Mullens; sister Donna Cayton and husband Wayne of Parkersburg and several nieces and nephews.
Mom will be missed by all who knew her. She is finally at peace and smiling down on us.
Services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastors David Pollock and Vondie Cook, Sr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 9:00PM Monday at the funeral home.
The family would like to give special thanks to Bowers Hospice House for all their care.
