Grace Elizabeth Zorza, 73, of 2153 Waldo St., Marquette, died early Monday morning, October 17, 2011 at her home with her family present and under the care of Lake Superior Hospice. Grace was born on November 4, 1937 in Marquette, a daughter of the late Lester and Madeline (Clyne) Healy. A 1956 graduate of Graveraet High School, she attended nursing school becoming a licensed practical nurse. Grace worked for a time at the Newberry hospital, later returning to Marquette where she was employed at the former Morgan Heights (Acocks Medical Facility) and retired from nursing at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed knitting and crocheting and also enjoyed testing "lady luck" at the casino. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Marvin Zorza on December 7, 1998; also siblings, Byron, Duane and John Michael Healy, and Patricia VanLinden. Friends may call at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. where a funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Nicholas Thompson officiating and traditional Native American ritual to follow.
