Grace Evengeline Thompson, on Friday July 29, 2011, at age 87, has slipped on her golden slippers and is dancing all over God's Heaven. Grace, a native of Illinois and the widow of Julian Clark (Tommy) Thompson, loved to sing praises to the Lord and was an active member of Trinity Christian Fellowship. She was a retired cafeteria worker at Great Bridge High School and Currituck County High School. Surviving are her three sons and a daughter, John Clark Thompson (Carol) of Smyrna, GA, Reverend Lucian L. Thompson (Trish) and Larry A. Thompson (Janet), both of Chesapeake, VA and Cathy Thompson Mosley of Kill Devil Hills, NC. Also surviving are her loving nieces, Margie Stevenson (Steve) and Joann Bell (Bill); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, August 1, 2011, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, 524 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, VA at 5:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. officiated by Rev.
