Greg Scott Ojaniemi, 45, of 118 Basal Road, Marquette, died Saturday evening, October 15, 2011 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming where he had been a patient a short while. Greg was born on January 9, 1966 in Crystal Falls, Michigan to Larry and Connie Mae (Routheaux) Ojaniemi. He loved to fish and was an avid outdoorsman. Greg enjoyed tinkering with boat motors, cars, brakes and just about anything that needing fixing. Survivors include his mother, Connie Ojaniemi of Harvey; three brothers, Glenn Ojaniemi of Escanaba, Gary (Jan) Ojaniemi of North Pole, AK and Grant (Mandy) Ojaniemi of Fairbanks, AK; his best friend and companion, Sharon DeLorme of Gaylord, MI; also five nieces, four nephews and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Ojaniemi on August 1, 2011 as well as an infant brother, Larry Ojaniemi in 1967. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 11th at 1 p.m. in First Lutheran Church of Ewen.
