Gregory Alan Dinsmore was born on December 13th, 1956 in Lincoln Nebraska. He moved to California when he was eight years old and spent the rest of his childhood growing up in Lancaster. Greg graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1975. In 1980 Greg entered the Lockheed Apprenticeship Program and over his 31 year career, he became the "Go To" guy for trouble shooting problems on the SR-71, F-117 and the F-22 Raptor. In 1981 he married Kathy Doran and settled down in Palmdale to raise his family. Greg was obsessed with all things aerospace, astronomy, firearms and motorcycles. He loved being outdoors, hiking and fishing, and walking his beloved dogs in the desert. He was fascinated with nature and animals and loved to share his knowledge about the world with family and friends. Greg took his family to his favorite place, Yosemite, every year for vacation and so much enjoyed just having fun with his children;riding bikes, playing smashball, building sandcastles, swimming and rafting in the river, and going on "bear hunts" at dusk. Greg was also a "Jack of all trades" at home; fixing appliances, rebuilding transmissions, building fences, and assembling almost anything.Greg will be forever missed by his wife Kathy and his children, Alison, Kristen and Jonathan whom he loved beyond measure. Greg also leaves behind his loving sisters, Paula and Kim, his close niece Wendy McCallister and family, as well as numerous family members and friends.
